Reality Checkpoint by Sean Crawford - A3 photographic print

55.00

Sean Crawford is a fine art photographer who currently lives in the Brecon Beacons National Park. After spending his youth cycling with a camera around the countryside near his home in Herefordshire taking photos, Sean moved at the age of nineteen to Cambridge to study. He was excited when he found that Syd Barrett had previously attended the same college many years before, not least because the first three albums Sean eve bought were Pink Floyd's early records.

After studying, Sean stayed on in Cambridge to work for almost another twenty years. During those years, Sean estimates that he crossed Parker's Piece well over a thousand times - and says that he loved Reality Checkpoint's presence each and every time. On many occasions, Sean was grateful for its guiding lights late at night on the way home from visits to the city's many pubs. For three years Sean lived on Clarendon Street, just off Parker's Piece, and it was during his time living there that he took this timeless picture of the iconic lamp-post which has now inspired the sculpture to be at the centre of the garden planned by Art Garden Health for Addenbrookes Hospital. For Sean it is even more poignant that the sculpture also includes a portrayal of Syd cycling; he's very happy that this print will help raise money to help this garden which celebrates Syd's life so beautifully.

This fine art photographic print has been printed using heavyweight archival, acid free, cotton rag paper and pigment inks, on an Epson 7800 digital printer, and will be supplied with a certificate of authenticity from the artist.

The print should exhibit no signs of fading or discolouration for a minimum of 100 years, when displayed indoors under glass, using archival mounting and framing materials, and away from direct sunlight. Should such degradation occur when the print has been displayed in the above conditions a replacement print will be provided at no cost.

The print will be on A3 sized paper (420x297mm). For framing and mounting purposes you may wish to note the image's dimensions of 355.6x254mm. It is recommended that your image is mounted and framed using acid free archival materials in order to ensure longevity. If using a card or board mount it is recommended that an aperture of 375.5x274mm is used, to allow for the white border of the print and the artist's signature."
